I had a cat a couple years back that loved to play fetch with the plastic ring you pull off the cap of a milk carton to open it. He was seriously obsessed with those things. Whenever I opened a new carton of milk, he could hear the subtle noise it made no matter where he was lounging around the house. He came dashing into the kitchen before I even finished taking off the plastic thingy. He’d look up at me and beg for me to throw it for him, and after I did, he fetched it and brought it back to me more consistently than most dogs I’ve seen. Man, I miss that cat. I’m gonna go cry now.

My cat likes to make noises at ungodly hours of the day, too.
