The automated "is" that used to pop up was more frustrating for me, since I'd end up checking some people's statuses to read "(name) is hates doing homework" or something similar to that. Most people I know tend to update rarely using "is" anyway, so the change to a twitter bite-off makes sense.

The change in format does make posting videos and links confusing, though. After posting the link, instead of showing a box to add your own description of what you're posting up, the same "What's on your mind?" box shows up instead. I typed in the box the way I'd normally do for a status update but was confused to not see the status change when checking the top of my profile page.

I tend to use twitter more often and just use facebook to see what close (and in most cases, not so close) friends are up to.

I' am totally with you on this. When they updated to the "What's on your mind" format, I was also confused. But unlike you I just gave up. There was so many little things bothering me about Facebook already that one more thing was just going to totally discourage me from updating my page. And that's what happened. I said "Fuck it, I don't need this shit". I'am not updating anymore on there. I still reply back to people and stuff like that but, for anyone who wants to stalk me they can check my Twitter page.

It really just doesn't make sense. If they wanted to update to "What's on your mind", fine that's great. But why would they add your name then add what you wrote for what's on your mind! Gah!

TanookiKuribo is Monday already?!
